Our Build Group Members

Here are profiles of our PCH Build Group Members, specifically dedicated to designing, funding and building the new Home for All the Children of the Turks & Caicos Islands

Tanis Wake-Forbes LLB(Hons) - Build Group Chairperson, Fundraising
Tanis Wake-Forbes, a Belonger, originally hails from Canada and first came to these shores almost 30 years ago. Managing Director and part owner of Finishing Touch, an interior design firm in Providenciales, her background is in law and real estate. Community minded, an active Rotarian, Red Cross member, TCSPCA member, secretary for the TCI Tennis Federation and chair of the PCH Build Group.

Art Forbes LLB(Hons) - Legal & Consultant to PCH Board
Art Forbes, a Belonger, born in Middle Caicos, is the President of the Labour Tribunal for the TCI. Currently vice president of the Rotary Club of Providenciales, an active member of the 100 Black Men Organization, Membership Chair of the Red Cross, TCITF (Tennis Federation) Chairman, mentor to the children at PCH as well as Enid Capron Elementary School, member of the Native Mens Fellowship/Bethany Bretheren Fellowship and vice president of the Provo Senior Citizens Association.

Jenny Douglas - Accounting
Jenny Douglas has been living and working on Provo for 20 years. She is a partner in Star Management Services, Ltd providing accounting services for small business owners. She is currently treasurer for several non-profit organizations on the island.

Shane Outten B.A - Architect
Shane Outten, a Belonger, has been practicing for 11 years in TCI. His company, Paradigm Concepts & Design in Provo, has provided the plans for the new facility for PCH showing his commitment and support of the children and staff of the Home.

Lauren Brown B.A. - Interior Design
Lauren Brown, originally from Florida, moved to TCI 7 months ago. Very active with various church and hospice organizations, in South Florida. Interior designer for Finishing Touch in Providenciales. Interior Furnishings, finishes and procurement for PCH build group.

Peter Kerrigan BEng CEng MIStruct E. - Structural Engineering
Peter Kerrigan, from Northern Ireland, is a resident for the past 10yrs. With 18 years of experience he now runs his own structural engineering firm here in the TCI, EDS Ltd. He is a member of the Institution of Structural Engineers - Caribbean division. Peter has also been involved in the Ed Gartland Youth centre on Provo, a school in Rwanda, and an orphanage in Haiti, and looks forward to using his skills with the PCH Build Group.

David Hartshorn BSc (Hons)- QS/Construction Management
David Hartshorn, a Belonger, is the founder and owner of Projetech and oversees all of the company's operations. David has lived and worked in the Turks and Caicos Islands for 25 years and is a professionally qualified quantity surveyor. Always active in community projects he fully supports the aims and goals of PCH.

Steve Thompson BSc (Hons)- QS/Construction Management
Steve Thompson has worked for over 20 years in the Construction Industry, with over 12 years experience in the Turks and Caicos Islands. He has a 1st class Honours Degree in Quantity Surveying from Nottingham Trent University in the UK and he is Managing Director of Projetech Ltd, one of the largest General Contracting and Construction Management Companies in the Turks and Caicos Islands.

Graham Shaw BSc (Hons), MSc, CEng, MCIBSE - MEP
Graham Shaw, Permanent Resident in TCI for over 10 years is originally from Scotland. He has 20 years MEP design experience and operates his own design practice, BSD Ltd. Other charitable work includes the Ed Gartland Youth Centre and the TCI Drug Rehabilitation Centre, he looks forward to the day when the kids can call the building "home".

John Lawson B.Eng, P.Eng. - Systems
John Lawson - A Canadian Professional Engineer, with interests in alternative energy and systems. 15 years as a Rotarian, and currently the President of the Rotary Club of Providenciales. Very active in the local community.

Karen Lawson B.Comm(Hons) - Fund Raising
Karen Lawson - Karen has been a resident of the TCI for 10 years, possesses a background in board and strategic planning, and in excess of 15 years in the human resources field. This experience, combined with her knowledge of the nuances of life on Providenciales, allows her to bring a unique perspective to the Provo Children’s Home Build Group.

Monique Davies - Fund Raising
Monique Davies has been living in Provo for 3 years. She studied Hotel Management and is the Owner Relations Manager of Grace Bay Club. Her commitment to the Provo Children’s Home started in 2006 when she raised funds for the Home by participating in the half marathon charity run in West Caicos.

Lynn Bengtsson BSc Hospitality Mgmt- PR
Lynn Bengtsson, who originally hails from Malaysia, is well traveled and has worked in operational sales in hospitality around the world. She is the Marketing Director for ONE and CAYA and handles all PR issues. She is very pleased to be putting her experience to work for the benefit of the children of PCH.

Tracey Wake - Website Designer
Tracey Wake, a Permanent Resident of the Turks and Caicos Islands, is a Canadian who has spent the past decade in England. A Web Analyst working at AdventureScape Ltd she is grateful to the people of the islands for the opportunity to experience their country. Currently she is an Honorary Rotarian, and webmaster for the TCSPCA and the PCH Build Group.

Lucille Wilson MA School Admin- Policies & Procedures, Gov't Liason
Lucielle Wilson, Belonger, is an Advisor to the Minister of Health and Human Services. She is very active in the community and is vice president for the Provo Aids Sub-comittee, President for the Women's Development Organization and member of the Special Needs Assocation in Provo.

Roxann Wake-Forbes BSc., MSc Psy - PCH Chair, Policies & Procedures
Roxann Wake-Forbes, a Belonger born in TCI, is a Psychologist for the TCI government specializing in working with children with behavioral problems. PCH Chair, vice-chair ECG Youth Foundation, Director for TCAAF, member of Rotoract, she is active in the community.

Jaime Hedges BA (Hons)- PCH Manager
Jaime Hedges came to TCI in 2007 from Canada to help run Provo Children’s Home. She has a background in social policy and a passion for working with children.
