“To be allowed to make a difference in a child’s life is a privilege and one not to take lightly. We sincerely hope that by getting the Community behind our project to raise funds and construct a purpose built facility that provides a safe and secure Home in every sense of the word, we will make that difference.” - Tanis

The PCH Build Group

The PCH Build Group was formed after Hurricanes Hannah and Ike made it impossible for the children and care givers to remain in their previous home known as Nisi House. They have been split into two locations which is not conducive to a warm and welcoming home environment but is a necessity at this stage. The Build Group has drawn up plans for a 20 child facility with 6 emergency/overnight places along with at least 6 to 8 live-in care givers. The Build Group has met and received support from the TCI Government which has granted an acre of crown land for the facility on a freehold basis. The plan is to raise $1 million dollars to construct this purpose built facility which will allow for future expansion, if required, and will prove to be a model home with all the care, attention, support and kindness these children deserve. The PCH new facility will allow the children many more opportunities to grow in a safe environment dedicated to learning, social skills, and peer interaction. There will be a computer lab, a play area, a large dining area and kitchen, entertainment area, lots of storage, a safe meeting place for caseworkers and parents in a controlled environment with the safety of the children and carers given the highest priority.

The Build Group wishes to complete the facility within 6 months of breaking ground due to the generous donation of one of the current locations becoming unavailable near the end of the year. We hope to encompass the entire community to support this project and to lend a helping hand whether in donations of cash or donations of services and supplies. It is vital for the health and well being of those children who are in need of our support that we provide the best home environment possible. Please contact any of the Build Group Members to express your interest and help.
